NATIONAL CULTURAL COMMISSION BOARD

The National Cultural Commission Board is made up of eight (8) members of which five (5) of them are ex-officio members pursuant to Section 1 (a) (b) (c) (d) and (e) of the National Cultural Commission Act 1994, while the next three (3) members are appointed by the Minister pursuant to Section 1(2) (a) and (c).

The five ex-officio members to the N.C.C. Board are; the Chief Secretary, Department of Prime Minister or his nominee. the Dean of the Faculty of Creative Arts, or his nominee the Secretary of the Department of Education or his nominee the Director of the National Museum and Art Gallery or his nominee the Executive Director of the National Cultural Commission

The three (3) members of the N.C.C. Board appointed by the Minister responsible for Culture for a period of three (3) years are; Ms. Francisca Semoso, representing the Arts Industry to the Board Ms. Agnes Gabe, representing the Arts Industry to the Board and Mr. Harold Amos, representing the Arts Industry to the Board.

The National Cultural Commission Board is chaired by the Chief Secretary of the Prime Ministers Department or his nominee and the Deputy Chairman is the Dean of the Faculty of Creative Arts or his nominee. The Board meets quarterly every calendar year.
